Are American pies always sweet? For me, on the other side of the Atlantic, the great pies are savoury - steak, kidney and oyster/anchovy; chicken, bacon and mushroom; fish pie - or the great 'coffin pies' with cold-crust pastry, like veal, pork and veal and ham. Sorry, drooling already!
