Yes, I do live in the mountains, not the Swiss mountains but the Austrian Alps (they belong to the same range, don't they?) ... am I Irish? I am Austrian but there is a theory that our (my) forefathers might have emigrated from Ireland in the 17th century. That's roughly when our family name is first mentioned in local documents (the family name is 'Troy', which is a very uncommon name here and definitely not German; I know that there are Troys in Ireland and the US, but we have not been able yet to verify this theory. Wouldn't be surprised if a Mudcatter came up with a useful idea...by the way it's great living in the Alps...no Edelweiss to be seen yet ... mountains still covered with snow ulli
