I know for a fact that Mason Williams is the author of "Them Toad Suckers" because I also remember him performing it in 1968 on The Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour, along with his brief intro about imagining it would be something folks in the south would do.

And a few years later I saw the book with a number of the "Them..." ditties by Mason Williams and have regretted not purchasing it ever since. But I do remember it included both "Them Moose Goosers" and "Them Dog Kickers".

BTW, I learned the 7th line of "Them Toad Suckers" as: Suckin' them bog-frogs sure make 'em happy...(vs. "bullfrogs" as noted above)
