Nowadays, it is considered important that people are aware of their cultural heritage, regardless of whether or not they are living in the country from where their culture originates. For instance: a Chinese person holding onto their chinese traditions despite the fact that he may be a 4th generation chinese person living in the West. It is an important part of multiculturalism. However, is it so important? Should we perpetuate differences in a cosmopolitan society? Would it not make more sense to play down differences? What does everyone think?
