Alan - A shrimp is just a smaller version of a prawn! They're stonger-tasting, dryer, and much smaller & fiddlier to peel. They come in pink & brown varieties, and are maybe 2cm long. I think we in the UK may be the only ones that bother with catching, cooking, peeling (yawn!) & eating them - I haven't seen them anywhere else in Europe or the US. |
