Please join us for a very special evening to commemorate the 5th Anniversary
of the death of Rick Fielding, the esteemed singer, songwriter,
story-teller, multi-instrumentalist, radio host and founder of the Acoustic
Harvest Folk Club, who passed away on Mar.20, 2004.

To celebrate Rick's life and songs we'll have a gala evening of music with
musicians who were his peers and friends and who each contributed to the
enrichment of Rick's life. They will sing Rick's beautiful songs, sing songs
for him and share treasured memories.

Heather Fielding, Rick's wife, has carried on hosting his weekly "Acoustic
Workshop" radio show and will be hosting the evening along with "Back To The
Sugar Camp" radio host Steve Fruitman.

A little bio info on Rick:

Originally a native of Montréal, Quebec, Rick was smitten by folk and blues
music as a teenager.. He later moved to Toronto and in a career that spanned
over thirty years toured extensively throughout Canada, Great Britain and
the United States. He recorded albums for Folk Legacy and Borealis. and
happily managed to finish his latest album "Acoustic Workshop" while
struggling with his illness. Apart from touring and playing his own music
Rick taught acoustic techniques on guitar, banjo, mandolin and dulcimer, ran
workshops on songwriting and professional development for musicians, did
custom leather work, and hosted the radio show Acoustic Workshop on CIUT-FM
89.5.

Above all Rick was a giving person as a performer, teacher and friend. He is
missed deeply by all who knew him.

"I'm gonna sing with the angels
    When my time comes around
    This earth is just rehearsal
    For when I'm heaven bound
I'll be well prepared to take my place
    With harmony and rhyme
And sing with the angels when it's time"

    Rick Fielding    1944 - 2004
