Captain Birdseye... 6/8 time is very rare. I gave this quite a bit of thought and the only songs I recall in this time were Irish Washerwoman and Skiver the Quilt. I remember that most of the Irish and Scottish Jigs that I heard as a young boy had been transposed into 2/4 or 4/4 time because square dancing was a two beat dance, not three. Perhaps there are more but for the life of me, I can't remember them.
