"There is plenty of folk music broadcast outside of dedicated folk programming. You can stumble on some gems when listening to Radio 3. PeterC, are you aware just how 'niche', Radio 3 actually is, when considering a 'wider' audience'? I've always been eclectic, yet even though I've dabbled in Radio 3 over the years, it's like just never been my scene man... I hope that you get my point, and don't take that as a dig a R3, which in fact I like on and off, mood depending on the year (or indeed decade at hand), though don't bother with a lot.
