I remember turning on John Peel's top Gear way back when and hearing a Bert Jansch song being performed live by a band - turned out that was the first broadcast by Pentangle. Saw them a little bit later at the Manchester Free Trade Hall - awsome. Can't see that a version of Pentangle without Jansch or Renbourn could reasonably be called Pentangle at all. r
