Waterworld and The Postman had the same plot: lone hero vs. bad guy plus army in post-apocalyptic world, with some love interest thrown into the bargain (Jean Tripplehorn/Olivia Williams -- OK Kevin, chose between the two. Now, THAT would be a contest!). Both were also rather long (an understatement!). And for unlikely singing on the boat, you still can't beat Kirk Douglas' Got a Whale of a Tale in Disney's "20,000 Under the Sea."
