Hello all,

If you're planning to be in town for the chantey sing, I have one additional opportunity to offer.

A brand new festival is starting up in Portsmouth, and it debuts on Saturday. The NH Fish and Lobster Festival is a celebration of 400 years of local fishing heritage and honors our active fishing industry on NH's Seacoast. Festival details are here:

http://www.prescottpark.org/fish.cfm

And an article in the Portsmouth Herald is here:

We have been hoping to feature artists from the upcoming Portsmouth Maritime Folk Festival at the event. It offers a great chance to introduce the Folk Festival to a large and new audience - we expect over a thousand attendees, as it's a busy weekend of multiple events in Portsmouth, and this is the only venue for food, as well as fishing-related demonstrations, vessel tours, and exhibitors.

We have some slots open for music between noon and 3:00 on Saturday. Would you like to perform, or know anyone who would? As a first-year festival, we have no budget to pay you in money, but we can pay you in appreciation, fresh local seafood, and beer at the volunteer fest following the event itself (which runs noon to 4:00).

If you're interested, please contact me - Michelle Moon - at michellenmoon@gmail.com. Thanks - and happy singing!
