I remember as a kid in the 50's listening to "Childrens Favorites" on the BBC every Saturday. "Uncle Mac" was the DJ and he played "The Laughing Policeman" every week without fail. Trivia...Uncle Mac retired to our village in Sussex and during the 60's I used to deliver his paper every morning, I never had the desire to stop and talk to him as everyone said he was a miserable bastard.
