One Bonaparte who did have an interest in aspects of Scotland was Prince Louis Lucien Bonaparte who I think was a nephew of Boney. He made seven commissions for translating parts of the Bible into the Scots language. It was thought that he was generally interested in preserving what he regarded as dying languages rather than being particularly interested in just Scotland.
