It has occurred to me that you people here, being a bit insensitive and perhaps having come from damaged circumstances, are not really aware of how deeply you have hurt my feelings...and the feelings of many others...and that if you were to spend a few minutes in heartfelt contemplation of the pain you have caused others with your ill-chosen words that a spirit of contrition would surely wash over you (possibly accompanied by a few tears), and that you would deeply regret your past misdeeds and repent of them and seek an accomodation with all those you have offended.

If so, we could clear this whole thing up.

Therefore I am going to give all of you a half hour or so to reflect upon your past conduct.

When I return, I expect to find that you have experienced remorse and are willing to offer me and the rest of the world a humble apology. And after that things should be hunky-dory, as they say. And we can get on with discussing folk and blues.

Right, then. I'm off for a bit. I'll check in again later this evening or perhaps tomorrow. Don't disappoint me, people. You know you need to make things right and NOW is the time to act.
