jehill Take Your Time/Sweet Thyme(Peter Mundey)licensing? (29) Composer error in DT 03 Jun 98

I notice that the song "Take your time" has been attributed to Loudon Wainwright III. This is incorrect although it may have been recorded by him at some time.

I have this song on an LP by the Ripley Wayfairers and it says this about the song on the cover:

'The late Pete Mundey, who was a member of the Broadside group, was inspired to write "Take you time" by a remark by an elderly lady encountered in a public house. The story goes that the group were chatting to her on the subject of marital bliss when she confessed that, old though she was, she "still like having her clock wound up now and then"...'

Regards

John

Note from Joe Offer (6 Jan 2017) The attribution on the Digital Tradition lyrics for this song were corrected.
