"That is why best festivals have many important reasons for existence. We do torchlit procession, chants, effigies, cook a 45 lb turkey in an earth oven, play music and have traditional recipes. We also tell the history of the plot. It has to be multi dimensional to have survivability." Ha! Umm, tell that to Padstow, Abbots Bromley, Haxey, etc... Maybe when tradition is a real, living thing, and not faked-up nonsense cobbled together from traditions and cultures that bear no relevance to the local community, it doesn't need to be "multi-dimensional".
