Alan, I think you misunderstood my point. I would no sooner take a rifle and kill such a magnicent animal. But with the lack of a natural preditor to keep them in check someone has to do it. many estates are valued on the number of deer there are to stalk/kill and as a result the habitat is ruined and the deer starve. Hence my comment "bring back the wolf."
