Glad to see this thread, very informative. And a haunting and challenging tune. Words I remember differ slightly: My heart doth bid you'll not forget My heavy load with sorrow aching --Don't remember this line-- One last farewell we might be taking From Milton College Music Festival, Milton, Wisconsin, ca. 1964. And where's the phrase "with sorrow aching?" NOwhere in this thread! And how is that possible-- because that's the string that got me here in the first place!
