They should play on anything

But burnt (PC/MAC/etc/home)will inherently have more errors than pressed (read professional) CD's

That is why professional produced CDs are pressed from a glass master rather than burnt

Software is a big factor with burning CDs
But a decent programme - I am a Mac head, so cant recommend a programme for Windows - but on the Mac I use Waveburner
