Cuba has excellent an excellent healthcare system, significantly better than that of the US where if you don't have the money, you suffer or die (which is what we're fighting to avoid the government imposing here in the UK at the moment). Life expectancy is slightly better than that of the US and Cuba also trains South American doctors free of charge to high standards on the condition they return to practice in their original villages and towns. What the Cubans understand, is healthcare is not a business but a fundamental requirement for all people, not just those with cash. Cuba might have many problems but their healthcare system is to be admired.
