Well, of course, he lied. I'm asking how he could have convinced anyone of the lie if Saddam had been conquered 1991? This isn't rocket science, folks. Those who say the US invaded Iraq in 1991 are wrong. Just admit it--you're wrong. The US's actions in 1991 simply don't meet the definition of an invasion.
