London is an amazing city. I visited it around 1969 and 2004. The new architecture was, er, interesting, but that is how I describe a lot of modern art. The rebuilt Globe Theatre was fun to visit, though. While you (and I) might wish for more familiar architectural styles, at least the city has not stagnated. As for the tourists, I'm sure they are inconvenient. Maybe we should spend our money elsewhere.
