I hope so - Ireland are South Africa's bogey team ... ... we've never beaten the All Blacks .... But Paul O'Connell, BOD, ROG et al have tasted Springbok blood on a few occasions - in South Africa!! - so the boks don't have the psychological advantage over the Irish that the all blacks have - if anything its the other way around. Wit Dan Carter out its hard to predict what will happen, but I think NZ will beat SA or Australia as they are at home. I won't count Australia out either as they have some awesome players and they won the tri nations ... ... which could be reason to predict a northern hemisphere victory ... Wales came close to beating the Boks, Ireland beat Australia ... France were shit and will lose heavily to england. There is (remarkably) actually a very real chance that Ireland could win the world cup - certainly as realistic as the chances of any other of the teams competing.
