I have always thought the melody underlying "and what drew me tae her".. etc was very reminiscent of "Ye Banks and Braes", but I'm not sure that the rest borrows heavily from any other tune. I could be missing something though. So it might be influenced by a couple of other sources, but not enough so that it could be said to be an original complete tune. ( I think )
