Thanks folks! The sites were really good, I hadn't been able to find them before. (Specially the Bodleian Library Broadside Ballads, very cool.) I went to the recommended websites and no go.

I am deeply traumatized by the fact I can't find the tune. It's called, "The Brown and the Yellow Ale." I know the lyrics but alas, no sheet music.

I inadvertantly wrote in caps. But it is probably mimicking my internal turmoil resulting from my fruitless search. sigh.
