My guitar came with elixir strings and I confess I haven't changed them in 15 mo. I HATE changing strings. I can't find anybody here I can PAY to change them for me. this didn't bother me when I started out. the synapses are starting to go ... When I was out of town this summer my callouses all peeled off, but they did come back very quickly. there must be something tough way underneath by now.
