I think that it's great news, for folk and for Bellowhead.

We can probably look forward to more representatives of the genre making it into the charts too, folk is rapidly becoming 'mainstream' .....again.

However, being the realist that I am,this has happened before and I expect that it is a temporary phenomenon. So lets make the most of it; let's hope that some performers can benefit; let's raise our profile and get some more bums on seats in folk clubs.

But accept that in a year or two it will be back to the diehards to keep it all going until our next brush with popular awareness!
