90% of my socks are black - old marching band rule that I still live by. Our uniform pants and shoes were black and with black socks your legs all blended in and the judges had a difficult time telling if you missed steps...much like the dancers mentioned above. The rest of my socks are brown for when I wear, well, brown. I hate white socks, nylon (slippery)socks and wool anything. In fact, my favorite time of year is April through November, when I wear no socks at all!
