Although Allister MacGillivray's "Song for the Mira" has already been mentioned, and deservedly so, here are few more Cape Breton/PEI songs from Allistair's pen: "Away from the Roll of the Sea", "Sea People", "Tie Me Down" and the one that always brings a lump to my throat, "Bye Bye My Island". These songs and others are on the CD "Song for the Mira" (ca. 1999)- a collection of Allister MacGillivray songs performed by other artists including John Allan Cameron, Phil Coulter, Frank Patterson, Barra MacNeils, et al.
