"The Bakewell Witches"..........once performed by (Mr?) Gladstone's Bag. Written by a certain Don Wise who has now made it available to Bakewell Museum as an mp3 for their Bakewell Witches section. How I came to do this is another story! To carry on blowing my own trumpet, way back in the 1970s I wrote a few more songs around Derbyshire legends and stories such as "Three Valiant Lads", "Hannah Baddeley"(I've never heard Ian Carter's take on the story-honest!)........I'll have to find a way of getting them over to someone in Derbyshire who might hopefully put t'one or t'other into circulation (I now live in Germany).
