Brian Peters - interesting. It's always nice to get constructive advice from people you respect - "that was nice, but I listened to what you were doing and I wondered if you'd thought of X" kind of thing. I think what bugged me about the comment I got was the feeling that it was a put-down dressed up as constructive advice - "that was nice, but I listened to what you were doing and I thought you were flat". Alternatively, of course, it may actually have been constructive advice which I over-reacted to; I may just have been a little too sensitive. Either way it's water under the bridge now.
