"Someone Stuffed a Crumpet in my Trumpet" is a short ditty composed by Cardew Robinson. I had a cassette tape of it some years ago but it's lost. Cardew (the Cad) Robinson was a 50's entertainer who also had a strip in one of the kids comics of that age.He also appeared in some of the "Carry On"! movies
As a distant relative I went to his funeral and it has to go down as one of the funniest events I have ever attended. The Water Rats know how to give a good send-off.
