Dark Island is a very complex subject which goes round and round....   What is not in dispute is that these words were my father's and that he was Scottish, the words are Scottish etc. It is the nationality of the work I am talking about and that it sure as hell is not an Irish song, unless the fact that it is performed by an Irish singer makes it one!
