That would have been Folk East (not to be confused with the 21st century festival FolkEast) which was organised in a rota by the various districts of the Eastern Region of EFDSS. The sucessor to Essex District, which organised that festival, is the Essex Folk Association. Billericay had, at that time, quite a few small halls and other venues suitable for festival events and Folk East used most of them during the day.
