That's interesting Guest...I had thought about it, but if it was intentional, it was a "bad career move" the accompaniment usually detracted from the overall performance, MacColl's songs were all in strict tempo and like Burns he relied on the power of the lyrics. Peggy's accompaniment was often a distraction.
