I suppose that there must be a traditional tune in Britain, in that Flanders & Swann, in their song "Bedstead Men" in _At the Drop of Another Hat_, break into another tune for the line "So watch the wall, my darlings, while the bedstead men go by", in clear allusion (recognized by the audience) to "A Smuggler's Song". |
