It's not been about the quality of songs for years, Kevin. It is the spectacle and kitsch quality of performances that does it for me. Having said that, I stand by my list of songs that escaped the (bad)quality control :-) It was the asides that Wogan used to make on the performance and presentation that did it for me. Graham Norton is not bad but has a long way to go to beat the master!
