In 1994 I visited Iceland for the first time and realized how much it helped for all the cars there to have their lights on at all times. Now the DH and I always drive with lights on, and appreciate it when others do too. In snow, rain or fog, when a small, bland car is hidden behind a big one, when a dark car is emerging from deep shade... And as Rap mentioned, heat waves.
