"Bubble" is still so popular that if you ask for it in a proper cafe it has probably run out; although many cafe's with foreign proprietors sell a strange imitation, with peas and other veg instead of cabbage, and fried in oil (or butter in better class establishments). Try a spot of Marmite in whatever you use for frying now that bacon has no usable fat. Wonderful for mushrooms. Incidently, does anyone know what "Bubble" is actually slang for?
