For the fun of it, I've just had a go at running through a word list (British and American spellings, size 70) downloaded from Aspell. I've only tried 4 and 5 letter words and only chosen what I'd think are the most likely vowel positions. This is what I got. Lists with an asterisk are ones where I was doubtful about at least one word and can't find a definition in Chambers. ball, bell, bill, boll, bull band, bend, bind, bond, bund bats, bets, bits, bots, buts dabs, debs, dibs, dobs, dubs dang, deng, ding, dong, dung* fall, fell, fill, foll, full* hack, heck, hick, hock, huck hams, hems, hims, homs, hums* hans, hens, hins, hons, huns* last, lest, list, lost, lust mass, mess, miss, moss, muss nabs, nebs, nibs, nobs, nubs pack, peck, pick, pock, puck pang, peng, ping, pong, pung* pans, pens, pins, pons, puns paps, peps, pips, pops, pups pats, pets, pits, pots, puts rack, reck, rick, rock, ruck sans, sens, sins, sons, suns tall, tell, till, toll, tull* tans, tens, tins, tons, tuns tats, tets, tits, tots, tuts* balls, bells, bills, bolls, bulls massy, messy, missy, mossy, mussy packs, pecks, picks, pocks, pucks
