I don't know how all these people missed him. Ewan and Peggy seemed to be everywhere you looked. I don't see much point in discussing his style. He made a synthesis that seemed to work for him. sadly he's not in a position to do it differently - even if you wanted him to do it all differently. He had a bloody good go at it.
