I know, and understand, that this thread is about printed folk magazines. But are readers aware that the on-line magazine 'Musical Traditions' is also having a problem at the moment? The editor, Rod Stradling, is now 77 years of age and thinking of retiring. He edits the magazine and has also produced many, many CDs of traditional music - including my 5 CD set of Appalachian recordings 'Far in the Mountains'. Rod is trying to find somebody to take over the magazine and CDs. But so far, so I am told, there has been no interest shown by anyone.
It would be a shame if this magazine also folds.
