Hello Cnd: I met Ted Lemley and Chris Von Volborth in the service,we were both in the Marne Glee Club. Ted played piano and I played percussion and Chris Saxophone. After we got out of the Army we were performing with the group called ( Friends of The Family),a show group.
Wayne Newton and Amato were our Agents out of Vegas.
Eventually this group broke up. We formed a new show group called ( The Good Time Convention)We were a show group that played covers. We also played Jazz ,and Jazz Funk music.
When we were performing in Myrtle Beach Mr Eric Hunn owner of the Bamboo Hut heard our group and offered to help us out by getting us recorded on a record.That's where we recorded Bar-B-Que in Heaven.We also recorded Sounds Like, What We Had Was Nice.These were original tunes that we had copyrighted.That was October of 1971.
