Sibelius was a notoriously heavy drinker and cigar smoker, along with his obsessional love of lobster, generally consumed with champagne. Just after the turn of the 20th century he was successfully operated on for suspected throat cancer, but that didn't stop him, and he lived another fifty years to the ripe old age of 91.

And wasn't he good....
