Gavin Peterson asked about whether anybody had heard those different lyrics to Show Me The Way To Go Home.   You mentioned, Gavin, that you'd heard them on a hard to find Clancy Brothers release from 1972.

I have a 1968 album by Noel Harrison (Santa MOnica Pier) with those same lyrics.

And I can't find any reference to them anywhere else. So I'm wondering if anybody has heard these lyrics anywhere other than through Noel Harrison or The Clancy Brothers.   Are they original lyrics written by the two songwriters?   Or is it a music hall addition? Or did Noel Harrison write them himself (although he gives credit to Irving King--the psuedonym for the two songwriters who wrote the song)?
