Ok, here it is according to how I hear it on the video, and with the suggestions I think I remembered from Joe. My suggestions have an asterix either side e.g. *Rattle*.

Verse 1:
Twas late in the night when the squire came home
Inquiring for his lady
The servants all replied she`s gone
She's away with the Gypsy Davey

Chorus:
*Rattle* for the Gypsy, Gypsy,
*Rattle* for the Gypsy Davey

[Note: I am fairly confident that the singer is pronouncing "rattle" and also in some of my searches the song title is referred to as "Rattle for the Gypsy". Also, my last posting on the thread before it went to data-heaven with the site-crash angels was that I am really not sure what the phrase "rattle for the Gypsy" means and that maybe because I am in Australia I am missing the context. Is it a term related to hunting perhaps?]

[Note: "me old gray mare" - in this instance "me" is the pronunciation of "my"]

["them" in this context is a fairly common term in some areas meaning "those"]

Verse 8:

*with the sheets and the blankets o'er me, oh
but the [at? or by?] night *I'm lying* [??}
in the cold cold ground
in the arms of me
Lovely Gypsy oh


{Note: "o'er" is "over" but pronounced "or" without the "v" sound.]

If these suggested changes seem ok I'll rewrite it without the asterixes etc for a clear copy.
