I once waited in a Boston rail station for well over an hour with a loudspeaker declaiming some Boston Commissioner's monotonic looped message in bahd Bhahstan* accent about watching your luggage and pehsonal belongins. Not hell, but definitely an antechamber. *And yes, there can be a good Boston accent.
