Gargoyle's yellow postscript makes a point. It was the mother of Angela and Edgar Lansbury (they were twins) who had a career on the English stage. Angela Lansbury became one of the "MGM broads" as someone else put it, and she knew Hollywood when it really was all that. It was Angela Lansbury who was quoted as saying that the Hollywood cinematographers knew how to make a mud puddle look glamorous with the right lighting and camera angle.
