Felipa Origins: Fill, Fill, a Run O (32) RE: Origins: Fill, Fill, a Run O 14 Jan 23

although, as I wrote, "Pill" is fine, I see several typos in lyrics posted by JTT on 30 Oct 99

chorus: gheoghaidh should be gheobhaidh (will get)
verse 2: Dá bheicfeadh sigh - Dá bhfeiceadh sibh (if you would see)
verse 4: Thréidh tú = Thréigh tú (you forsook, you deserted)
verse 5: deorea = deora (tears)

I spotted various typos in English language posts, but most Mudcat readers won't have a problem with that (and those errors were not in lyrics).

In my second post of 28 June 2020, Séard a deireanns na cailíní óga shouldn't have an "s" at the end of "deireann". It should read Séard a deireann na cailíní óga (what the young girls say is:)

The Máire Áine Ní Dhonnchadha (spelling corrected) recording is not presently available on youtube.
I think the 2011 post from GUEST,Sweden is spam; at any rate it lead me to a video game

Guest Sue's lyrics of 28 Nov 04 are very difficult to read because of the way the words are broken up. For instance, "Fill o-rm achuis le's a stó" should be "Fill orm a chuisle 's a stór" (return to me, oh darling treasure). In the second verse "sethal" should be "thall" (thall 'us abhus - here and there) and "'sni fha-ca mé nion-tas go tóill" should read "'s ní fhaca mé iontas go fóill" or maybe " ... aon iontas go fóill" . In the last verse, "d'iom-paifg" should read "d'iompaigh". But there are better transcriptions, with translations or summaries, elsewhere in this discussion.
