Drag usually involves just performance. Transvestism 'usually' involves wearing clothing of the opposite sex for erotic purpose... usually men who are NOT actually trans, wearing some degree of women's clothing, often only undergarments/lingerie. It's easy to be confused, as people's motivation and orientation takes many forms. It is the case that some significant % of drag performers are also gay. (I saw a documentary interview not too long ago.)
